Just keynoted the close of the first national Jewish youth philanthropy conference and made an appearance as Yoda (we’ll try to get the video later), the old master who trains the next generation of Jedi Knights.
The organizers did a great job. If they were blogging or keeping a diary, they could write with confidence, and in the spirit of Herzl, that indeed today they launched a national youth Jewish philanthropy movement.
Toward the close of the final session, in which a rebellion arose and succeeded, groups wrote draft mission statements for the movement. They appear in draft form and with typoes but it will be cleaned up and uploaded onto….
